Alesana

Alesana is a very different band if you're comparing them to other post hardcore bands. They have 7 people instead of the regular 5. If you count the lead singer, they have 3 guitarists. They have come out with 1 album a year for the last 4 years in a row. This year their album will be released in early 2013. Alesana is really into dark poetry and greek myths, so their cds have been based on these things. On Frail Wings of Vanity and wax, was the album about greek myths. Where Myth Fades to Legend was based on the brothers grimm poems. The emptiness was a story they wrote themselves, but they got inspiration from Edgar Ellen Poe. Their last album was called A Place Where the Sun is Silent, and it was based on The Inferno by Dante Aligheri. These were all very good and one should hope that the next one will be as well.

Asking Alexandria

Well it looks like Asking Alexandria is finally back in the studio after all that time. They have been recording their new album for quite a while now, and it is scheduled to come out early 2013. Asking Alexandria is a UK based post hardcore band that has been getting a lot of attention recently. They have even appeared on shows such as Jimmy Kimmel live. This will be their 3rd LP even though they have been around since 2008. This band has been instrumental is making post hardcore music popular.

Falling in Reverse

A relatively new band, Falling in Reverse, probably has the fastest fanbase growth in 1 year of any other post hardcore band to ever exist. In their 1st year, they were signed to the major major record label Epitaph Records. This is probably due to the fact that frontman and lead singer Ronnie Radke is in the band. Ronnie is best known as the ex-lead singer of Escape the Fate, another major screamo band. He was kicked out by his band members when he was convicted of a felony and was in prison for a few years. There is a lot of speculation as too what he did. Many people think he murdered someone, which is ridiculous. What really happened is he violated his parole, in 2008. He formed the band while behind bars, meeting with his bandmates during visiting hours and spending the rest of his time writing. He got out of prison in 2010 and they released the album, The Drug In Me Is You in 2011. His singing style is very unique, using tortured vocals to sing lyrics about suicide, vampires, love, and, of course, bullies. They were even at warped tour this year, which is only they're second year as a band.

Here is the song, The Drug In Me Is You.

Pierce the Veil's New Album

Recently, Pierce the Veil put out a new album titled "Collide with the Sky". In my opinion, its they're best album so far. The singer Vic Fuentes, has quite a beautiful voice for a man, and is pretty good at playing the guitar as well. "Collide with the Sky" is the first album under the Fearless record label which has represented bands like Alesana, which is another good post-hardcore band.
Like before, I leave you with a video.
